8TH MEMORIAL THANKSGIVING AND FREE MEDICAL TREATMENT OUTREACH AT THOMAS MCGETTRICK INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY (TMIT) OGOJA, DECEMBER 10, 2023
In honor of the 6th memorial thanksgiving of Sir G.L.I Opiepe, his foundation, Sir G.L.I. Opiepe’s Health and Education Foundation, a non-profit organization spearheaded by Dr. Philomena Ikowe (Nèe Opiepe), held a free medical treatment outreach program on December 10th, 2023. The event took place at Thomas McGettrick Institute of Technology (TMIT) in Ogoja, Nigeria.
The foundation, named after the late Sir G.L.I Opiepe, is dedicated to improving the lives of others through healthcare and education initiatives. This free medical outreach program exemplifies their commitment to Sir Opiepe’s legacy of service.
Offering a Helping Hand to the Community
The program provided much-needed medical care to residents of Ogoja and the surrounding area. Other activities also include, scholarship, provision of clothing and food to the age and vulnerable children in various communities.
Honoring a Legacy
By providing free medical treatment, the SIR G.L.I OPIEPE’S Health and Education Foundation ensures Sir Opiepe’s memory lives on through acts of charity and community service. This outreach program offered vital healthcare services to those who might not otherwise have been able to afford them.
